Paver materials

Concrete paversThe most common choice. Many shapes and colors, durable, and easy to replace one at a time.
Brick and clayA classic look for walks and entries. Clay holds its color well in Florida sun.
TravertineNatural stone with a textured, light finish, popular around pools.
PorcelainResists stains, fading and mold. Low maintenance in our humidity.
Natural stoneFlagstone, bluestone and limestone for a one-of-a-kind look.
Permeable paversLet rain soak through the joints instead of running off or pooling.

“Amazing work and service! They did an amazing job with my paver driveway expansion. When completed the landscaping & sod around my driveway, it looked nicer than before the project started. Everything from start to end was top notch. Highly recommended!”

How the job runs

  1. Free on-site estimate

We measure, check the existing surface and base conditions, and give you an itemized written estimate.

  2. Pick the paver and pattern

We go over materials, colors, patterns and borders, with samples.

  3. Excavate and build the base

Dig to the right depth for the use, then lay and compact a crushed stone base in lifts. This is where a paver job lasts or fails.

  4. Lay, cut and compact

Pavers laid in your pattern, cut clean at the edges, compacted, and locked in with polymeric joint sand.

  5. Seal (optional) and walk-through

Sealing protects color and makes cleaning easier. We clean up and walk the finished job with you.

What it is not

  • Pavers over a bad slab. Pavers go over concrete only if the slab is sound, level and not heaving. We check first.

Florida is hard on yards

Concrete that cracks and stains
Heat, heavy rain and salt air are hard on a poured slab, and a cracked slab is hard to patch cleanly.
Pavers that sink and spread
Low spots and wide joints almost always mean a thin or poorly compacted base.
Washed-out joints
When joint sand washes out, weeds move in and pavers start to shift.
A pool deck that is too hot to walk on
Dark materials in direct sun get hot underfoot. Light colors and textured finishes stay cooler underfoot.

Paver Installation questions

How much does a paver driveway cost in Brevard County?

It depends on size, the paver you pick, how deep the base needs to be, and whether old concrete has to come out. We measure and give you an itemized written estimate at no cost.

How long does a paver driveway take?

A typical two-car driveway takes a few days from tear-out to final compaction. Larger or combined projects take longer.

Are pavers better than concrete in Florida?

Pavers cost more up front, but they flex with the ground and a damaged area can be lifted and re-set instead of patched. Concrete is cheaper and fine for simple slabs.

Should I seal my pavers?

Sealing is optional. It protects color from UV, helps hold joint sand in place and makes stains easier to clean. Most sealers need a fresh coat every few years.

Can pavers go over my existing concrete?

Sometimes. If the slab is sound, level and not heaving, an overlay can work. We check before we recommend it.

Can you fix my sunken pavers?

Yes. We lift the low area, rebuild and compact the base, re-lay the pavers and refill the joints.
